The most prominent form of Graphic Art during Stalin's reign was "the poster".
The main Communist Party newspaper, Pravda, announced the issuing of each new poster, political or economic.
Publishing information about the posters promoted the style of art among broad masses of Russia. In addition
to announcing the new publication of a poster, Pravda would issue a review of the poster.
Posters became such an important tool for propaganda, that the words, "Those who take down the poster commit
a counter revolution.", were printed at the bottom of each poster.
The popularity of the poster only continued to grow through the Bolshevik Revolution and Civil War years.
By 1921, the military poster was replaced with poster addressing themes such as health, poverty and suffering.
There was also a rise in cultural and educational posters, focusing on the upbringing and education of children,
job training, art education, overcoming religious superstitions, and propaganda of medical information.
The State was trying to encourage literacy and education, the theme was reflected in posters.
By the late 1920's and early thirties, the poster found itself at the epicenter of ideological, sociocultural,
and formalistic debates. The poster had become the most relevant form of graphic art in Russia.

fully communist industrialized power. It is the period of industrialization of the USSR. In that period have been built the enormous factories and dams.
